In 7th grade ELA students,  students explore various genres through independent reading books, whole class novels and small book clubs. There is a focus on fostering critical thinking, creativity and effective communication through reading and writing assignments. Additionally, students will work on their vocabulary, comprehension and analysis skills as they navigate through the year.

Our curriculum aligns with New York State’s Next Generation Learning Standards.  In Grade 7, students study a variety of math topics including proportional relationships, expressions, equations, percentages, geometry, statistics and probability.  Throughout the year students will dive into more advanced math concepts and really develop strong foundational skills in Algebra. Through the use of technology, projects, and activities, students will explore real-world scenarios to promote critical thinking skills needed for future success.
