    Mi Monstruo (Partes del Cuerpo)

Fourth graders have been learning how to identify the major body parts in Spanish. In our last unit, students will be creating their own monster and describing its body using their newly learned vocabulary and phrases. Students will also be describing their monster by color, size, and what they like to eat to review previously learned concepts. To wrap up our last unit, students will be creating a project to proudly share their knowledge of all Spanish concepts learned this school year. I am truly proud of each and every one of my Spanish learner’s hard work and enthusiasm that made Spanish learning so much fun.

Library - We are challenging all of our students to READ, READ, READ this summer. The 2017 Summer Reading Challenge has begun! All MS students have received a packet of titles recommended by their teacher for the upcoming school year. Students can pre-order their summer books now. See Mrs. Auerfeld in the library for a form. Books will be available on June 30th for pick up from Ye Olde Warwick Book Shoppe at 89 Windermere Avenue in Greenwood Lake. Please have all orders in by June 9th. There is a book order form and book report enclosed in this packet. All students who complete the book report project will be invited to an ice cream party in the fall.
Reading is a great way to relax and also get ready for the next school year!
We will be visited on June 15th by the GWL Public Library to promote their upcoming summer reading program. Students will hear all about the exciting events they have planned where students can participate or, if old enough, volunteer to help younger readers.
