    The District has learned that a staff member from our elementary school tested positive for COVID-19 based on a diagnostic test. The staff member was not in the building during what the health department considers the contagious period, and therefore is not deemed to be an exposure threat to any in-person students or employees.     This evening the District learned that a student member from our elementary school tested positive for COVID-19 based on a diagnostic test.     This weekend, our District learned that a staff member from our middle school tested positive for COVID- 19 based on a diagnostic test. The staff member has not been in the building for a couple of weeks and therefore is not deemed to be an exposure threat to in-person students or employees. Each positive case serves as an important reminder that we can help stop the spread by following the guidance of the state and local health departments.     To ensure a healthy Thanksgiving for our students, families, faculty and staff, and to secure days of no contact or exposure possibility within our schools from holiday co-mingling and traveling, we will be pausing in-person instruction to an eLearning remote schedule for a short period of time.
