Meet the Teacher
Professional History
In 2012 I started working at PS 51, The Elias Howe School, in New York City.I have worked in General Education and Inclusion settings. I started teaching in a 3rd grade ICT classroom and have taught grades 4 and 5 since then. Most of my teaching career was spent in a 5th grade inclusion classroom where I taught reading, writing, math, s.s. and science to my students.

5th grade study skills support

Description of 4th and 5th grade Special Class
As a special class teacher, I will be teaching your child Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies and Science in the classroom. The students will receive individualized supports throughout the school day. Students will also receive manipulatives to use in the classroom to reinforce the concepts taught. As we would like to keep as socially distant as possible, I plan to provide a lot of 1:1 instruction to your child. In addition, I plan to utilize our outdoor space to provide whole group instruction. When working outside, your child will be able to remove their mask, enjoy the fresh air and learn all at once!
How lucky are we to have outdoor space for learning?!
Communication
I am so grateful to be a part of the Greenwood Lake Middle School community and to have the opportunity to work with your children.
Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns, as I encourage keeping an open line of communication.
Please send me a brief email with your name and your child’s name for my records at mronne@gwlufsd.org!
~Thank you and I look forward to a wonderful year with you and your children~
