    Day 4

     

    NJHSThe NJHS will hold an EARTH DAY POETRY CONTEST!  You can make your poem on whatever you want regarding Earth Day.  You will be judged on the following categories:  Humorous, most factual, most creative and most eco-friendly.  Submissions will be due by this Friday.  Have fun!

    Select Chorus:  

    Band:    Today is a trombone, baritone and tuba lesson day.  6th grade all county chorus will meet today from 2:30 - 3:05

    8th Grade Advisory: 

    • There will be a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, May 2nd for all students attending the DC trip.  Parents may attend.  
    • The 7th and 8th grade Semi-Formal is May 25th.  Permission slips can be found in the main office.  Tickets are $15 cash and will be sold during homerooms.
    • 8th grade picnic is June 16th.  Permission slips can be found in the main office.  Both payment and permission slips are due NO LATER THAN May 1st. 

    Art Club: 

    Library:    The library is open for all recess times.

    Drama Club:  

    Coding Club:  Coding Club will meet in the library  this Friday from 2:30 - 3:05. 

    Film Production & Editing:  

    Lego/Robotics:  

    Student Council: Spring Fling Dance is Friday, April 28 for grades 6, 7, and 8.  Time:  7:00pm - 9:00pm.  Cost:  $7 per person (Includes snacks and drinks).  Location:  Greenwood Lake Middle School.  Attire:  Casual Dress 

    Movie and Pajama Day for grades 4 & 5, Friday, April 28:

    • Wear pajamas to school
    • Watch a movie after school in the cafeteria
    • Cost is $4.00 (includes:  popcorn, snacks and drinks)
    • Bring a blanket or pillow to watch the movie
    • A parent or guardian must pick you up at 4:30
    (Students will be voting to select one of the following movies to watch:  Annie, Finding Dory, Minions, The Little Rascals or Zootopia).

    Intramurals:   There will be an intramural golf clinic at the end of May.  All students are invited, but must sign-up in Mr. Friedler's office.  There will be intramurals on Thursday, April 27th for grades 4-6 until 3:50.  We will be playing soccer outside.

    Softball: 

    Boys Baseball (will practice every day until 3:50, unless otherwise announced):  No practice today

    Track and Field (will practice every day until 3:50, unless otherwise announced):  The meet today has been moved to Thursday.  No practice today.

    Miscellaneous:  Read for the Rockland Boulders contest begins today!  Record your reading minutes every day!  See Mrs. Auerfeld in the library if you need a form.
